SmartCraft Connect Simrad or Vesselview 704
SmartCraft Connect (Requires Simrad or VesselView 704)
⚠ Important: These SmartCraft Connect models require a compatible Simrad display or VesselView 704 to function properly. Verify your setup before purchasing (non-returnable once opened) →
SmartCraft Connect allows you to display engine data like RPM, fuel flow, temperature, and more directly on your MFD. Turn your chartplotter into a full engine monitoring system — view engine data in real time.
How Level 2 SmartCraft Connect Works
Level 2 SmartCraft Connect is designed for boats that already have a compatible Simrad® display or Mercury VesselView 704 installed.
Unlike Level 3 SmartCraft Connect, these models must be activated (unlocked) by one of the following displays:
- Simrad NSX
- Simrad NSX Ultrawide
- Simrad NSS 4
- Mercury VesselView 704
Without one of these displays connected to the NMEA 2000 network, a Level 2 SmartCraft Connect will not transmit engine data.
Once activated, other compatible Garmin®, Raymarine®, and NMEA 2000 displays on the same network may also receive Mercury engine data. The required Simrad® or VesselView 704 display must remain connected for the system or no engine data will be displayed. If the Simrad or VesselView 704 is removed, the system will stop displaying data after several power cycles
Example setups:
- VesselView 704 + Garmin GPSMAP series
- Simrad NSS4 + other NMEA 2000 compatible displays
Do NOT choose this if:
- You are using Garmin or Raymarine only
- You want a simple plug-and-play solution
- You are unsure about your display compatibility
Most customers should choose: SmartCraft Connect (Garmin, Simrad & Raymarine Compatible) for a simpler, fully compatible setup.
- Requires Simrad or VesselView to unlock functionality
- Can output data to other displays after unlocking
- Supports multiple engine configurations
*Compatibility depends on your exact display model and system configuration. Always verify before purchasing.*
