SmartCraft Connect allows you to display engine data like RPM, fuel flow, temperature, and more directly on your MFD. Turn your chartplotter into a full engine monitoring system — view engine data in real time.
How Level 2 SmartCraft Connect Works
Level 2 SmartCraft Connect is designed for boats equipped with a compatible Simrad® display, Mercury VesselView 704, or a next-generation VesselView 705, 905 or 1005 display.
Unlike Level 3 SmartCraft Connect, these Level 2 models must be activated (unlocked) by a compatible display. One of the following displays must remain connected for continued operation:
- Simrad® NSX
- Simrad® NSX Ultrawide
- Simrad® NSS 4
- Mercury VesselView 704
- Mercury Next Gen VesselView 705
- Mercury Next Gen VesselView 905
- Mercury Next Gen VesselView 1005
Without one of these displays connected to the NMEA 2000 network, a Level 2 SmartCraft Connect will not transmit engine data.
Once activated, other compatible Garmin®, Raymarine® and NMEA 2000 displays on the same network may also receive Mercury engine data. The compatible Simrad® or VesselView display used for activation must remain connected for continued operation. If that required display is removed, the system will stop displaying engine data after several power cycles.
