NMEA 2000 SmartCraft Gateway
Mercury NMEA 2000 SmartCraft Gateway
Are you ordering the correct Mercury interface?
Mercury manufactures three distinct ways to display engine data on non-Mercury screens (Garmin, Raymarine, Lowrance, Simrad, Humminbird, etc.). Please review the table below to make sure you don't buy the wrong system.
About the Mercury NMEA 2000 Gateway
The Mercury NMEA 2000 Gateway converts your SmartCraft engine and system data into standard NMEA 2000 protocol. This allows non-Mercury gauges and secondary displays to read and display basic engine parameters. The Gateway enables SC1000 Tachometer and Speedometer data to be broadcast to NMEA 2000 compliant devices. Conversely, it also allows NMEA 2000 devices (such as compatible trim tabs) to display data on your SmartCraft gauges.
The NMEA 2000 Gateway supports single through quad SmartCraft-compatible engine applications.
What is NMEA 2000?
NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) 2000 is an open, CAN-based networking standard used universally across the marine industry. Unlike proprietary networks (such as SmartCraft), NMEA 2000 allows products from different manufacturers to communicate on a single, shared backbone. It serves as a combined electrical and data network, linking marine electronic devices including depth finders, chartplotters, engines, tank level sensors, and GPS receivers.
