The Mercury 8M0165589 SmartCraft Gateway allows compatible Mercury SmartCraft engine data to be shared with a standard NMEA 2000® network. This gateway makes engine information available to compatible third-party NMEA 2000 displays, gauges and multifunction displays (MFDs) that support Mercury engine data, such as Solix, Humminbird, etc.

Designed for single, twin, triple and quad engine installations, this genuine Mercury kit includes the multi-engine Gateway module, NMEA 2000 "T" connector, mounting hardware and installation instructions.

What Does This Gateway Do?

• Converts compatible Mercury SmartCraft engine data to the NMEA 2000 network.
• Allows compatible NMEA 2000 devices to receive Mercury engine information.
• Supports single through quad engine SmartCraft installations.
• Includes NMEA 2000 "T" connector for installation.

Important Installation Notes

• For multi-engine installations, all engines must be connected to the same SmartCraft CAN-P network.
• The Gateway must be connected to a 10-pin SmartCraft connection that receives a key-switch wake signal.
• The Gateway does not supply power to the NMEA 2000 backbone. Your NMEA 2000 network must have its own properly protected power source.
• This Gateway is not required when using MercMonitor, VesselView Link, VesselView 403, 502, 703 or 903, as those products already provide gateway functionality.
