Important: Level 2 SmartCraft Connect requires one of the following displays to activate (unlock) NMEA 2000 engine data transmission:
- Simrad NSX
- Simrad NSX Ultrawide
- Simrad NSS 4
- Mercury VesselView 704
Without one of these displays connected to the NMEA 2000 network, a Level 2 SmartCraft Connect will not transmit engine data. Once activated, additional compatible NMEA 2000 displays may also access the engine data, but the unlocking display must remain connected to the network.
Important Notes
- Not all chart plotters/GPS/MFD's support full SmartCraft features.
- Software version matters — updates may be required to enable the Mercury interface.
- Some displays may show limited data only.
