SmartCraft Connect Level 3
SmartCraft Connect Level 3 allows compatible Mercury and MerCruiser engines to share available SmartCraft engine information with supported Garmin®, Raymarine®, Simrad® and Mercury VesselView displays.
Level 3 provides the broadest display flexibility and does not require a particular display brand for activation. It is normally the appropriate choice for Garmin- or Raymarine-only systems, or when the ability to use different supported display brands is preferred.
Compatibility depends on the exact display model and installed software version. Not every Garmin®, Raymarine® or Simrad® display supports SmartCraft Connect.

When to Choose SmartCraft Connect Level 3
- Garmin®- or Raymarine®-only installations
- Systems requiring broader supported display flexibility
- Compatible Garmin®, Raymarine® and Simrad® multi-function displays
- Mercury Next Generation VesselView 705, 905 and 1005 displays
What SmartCraft Connect Level 3 Does
- Displays available engine information such as RPM, fuel flow, temperature, trim and alarms
- Connects compatible SmartCraft engines with supported marine displays
- Does not require display-based activation or unlocking
- Supports single- and multiple-engine configurations when the correct kit is selected
Installing a Next Generation VesselView? Level 3 is compatible with VesselView 705, 905 and 1005 displays, but it is not required when the less expensive Level 2 option meets the installation requirements. If you're not sure if you will be adding another MFD device one day then stay with the Level 3.
Installing a Next Generation VesselView? SmartCraft Connect Level 2 is normally the appropriate and more economical choice when using a VesselView 705, 905 or 1005. Choose Level 3 if you also plan to connect a compatible Garmin® or Raymarine® display, or want greater flexibility to add different supported display brands in the future.
