Next Generation (Gen 2) DTS Electronic Remote Controls (ERC)
In 2021 Mercury Marine released new DTS digital controls (ERC's) called "Gen 2" or "Next Gen". Instead of an additional command module (CCM), the CCM is now built into the control saving space under the dash. Rigging has been simplified with color coded and keyed harnesses. This eliminates unused connections and has simplified installation.
The Gen 2 (Next Gen) DTS Controls have integrated features that are now standard such as:
- Start/Stop
- Active Trim -Intuitive hands-free system that continually adjusts engine or drive trim right on your control
- Throttle Only - Enables captain to operate engine throttle without shifting into gear
- Neutral light in the handle
- Quick Steer (for single engine outboard electric steering applications) - Provides rapid steering and more precises throttle control when operatin gin tight quarters such as when docking.
- Supplemental display (Premier dual-handle version only)
- These new controls will work with engines 2007 and newer only.
Multiple engine applications will require dealer/technician calibration with a G3 tool to setup the new control. Choose between console (binnacle) or panel (flush) mount style.
