Mercury-Mercruiser 98-8M6007939 1st Mate Safety & Security System is an engine integrated wireless man overboard(MOB) and theft deterrent system. Up to 7 person capability.

1st Mate has three main features:

1. Wireless MOB (man overboard) monitoring for the captain and up to 7 additionalpassengers (passenger wearables sold separately)
2. Distress Messaging texts that provide location, date and time via cellular on themobile device to emergency contacts set up in the app
3. Theft Deterrent capability that prevents the engines from starting unlessunlocked with proximity of the Captain's wearable and/or unocking the vesselthrough the 1st Mate app (PIN, fingerprint, face recognition).

Single Engine Kit contains these components:

Intelligent hub and harness

OneRFID tag

One Captain's wearables fob kit (Captain's fob and the bluewristband and carabiner clip wearables)

Single engine use on All Leading Engine Brands (Mercury SmartCraft engineapplications has a specific set of part numbers with additional integrated functionality).
