Important: Models equipped with two seawater inlets on the seawater inlet hose require an additional Y-fitting, part number 864727, which must be ordered separately.

Important Flushing Information

Always follow the installation and flushing instructions supplied with this specific kit and your engine. Mercury offers multiple engine flush kits, and the correct procedure may vary by engine and application.

Do not supply flush water for more than 15 seconds without the engine operating.
Do not operate the engine above 1400 RPM while flushing out of the water.
Mercury specifies approximately 1300 RPM, plus or minus 100 RPM, during the flushing procedure.
Flush the engine for a minimum of 10 minutes.
Monitor the engine temperature throughout the procedure.
Do not leave the coupling insert installed in the engine flush socket after use. This may allow the seawater pump to draw air and cause overheating.
Refer to the installation instructions and the appropriate Mercury MerCruiser service manual before beginning.
