Mercury's Platinum Plus Throttle and Shift cables are built for a long life and are designed for maximum performance in all weather conditions even down to 0 degrees Fahrenheit.
These throttle and shift cables have a stainless steel core with 16 Lay - flexible core wire.
Layered Technology Featuring -
- Tough polypropylene outer jacket is UV and abrasion resistant
- 22 oil-tempered wires for increased compression strength and durability
- Lubricated core liner to stand up to the harsh marine environment while remaining flexible
- Patented hexagonal shape allows for minimal contact with the liner
- Stainless steel core is specially designed to handle tough compression loads, but flexible for severe applications
Control end is a traditional Gen I connection and the engine end is a standard SAE threaded end.
Must be used with a GEN I remote control.
Fits: Mercury/Mariner 4/5 HP Model Year 1987 and newer, 4/5/6 HP FourStroke Model Year 1999 and newer, 8/9.9 HP FourStroke Model Year 2005 and newer and Mariner 8 thru 60 HP outboards of Japanese origin.
