Perfect upgrade for Big Block 496 (8.1), 502 (8.2), 454 & 454 MAG's and 7.4L Mercruisers. Easy swap as this engine uses the same pedestal mounts as all the Mercruiser black engines.

The 520 EFI is one of the most versatile of Mercury Racing engines in the line-up. The size, drive options, and power makes this a great choice for a variety of vessels from sport boats to cruisers. Standard closed cooling protects the engine from corrosion.

The naturally aspirated 520 engine provides recreational boaters a cost effective power option that fits nicely, in both value and performance, between the MerCruiser 8.2L MAG HO and Mercury Racing 540. This low-cost sterndrive engine features digital throttle and shift (DTS) and of course, is backed by an unprecedented 2-year limited factory warranty. 5 Year product protection available.

Applications require through-transom exhaust. Optional X-haust Noise Reducer Kit available.
