The following are AMS pedestal examples of failed paint that would be covered under warranty. • Failure is above the waterline • Adjacent parts do not have the same degree of damage • The failure does not start at a transom bolt head NOTE: When transom bolts are incorrectly inserted or forced into the transom, they will damage the paint. • The failure does not appear at the border of any anti‑fouling bottom paint
Mercury Marine prohibits the use of anti‑fouling bottom paint. You must maintain spacing between the anti‑fouling bottom paint and the pedestal or transom. Ask us or your local dealer for service bulletin 21‑05R1 for additional information on the use of anti‑fouling bottom paint.
