Unlike plates sold by some of our competitors, our plate is 100% made and assembled in the USA.
The dish style improves engagement of the transmission input shaft and makes the plate much stronger than a flat plate. In addition, machining of the flywheel is not required for spring clearance.
The manufacturing process has been changed to minimize runout of the splined hub. Each plate is blueprinted to a maximum runout of .003 before shipping. This is extremely important for reliability and to minimize vibration. Mounting hardware is included.
This is an upgrade to the Mercruiser driveplate 8M0051206.
