The fuel pump for the Gen II Cool Fuel System is no longer available as an individual component. The pump is only available as part of a Pump and Cooler Kit, which includes the fuel pump, fuel cooler, and hardware.
Mercury 861156A1 Fuel Pump Replacement Guide
The original 861156A1 Gen II Cool Fuel Pump
is discontinued. Mercury now supplies the fuel pump as
part of a complete pump and cooler kit, including
installation hardware.
Important: Three different replacement
kits are used depending on engine model, serial number
and fuel cooler configuration. The coolers are not
interchangeable.

Engines with serial numbers 0K999999 and lower may have
received an updated cooler. If the fuel line uses the
later cross-bolt connection, use kit
8M0125846
instead of 8M0125845.

8M0125846 – With drain, cross-bolt connection (replaces 861156A02)
8M0125852 – Without drain, cross-bolt connection (replaces 861156A03)
8M0125845 – With drain, parallel-bolt connection (replaces 861156A04)
