3.0L TKS 135 HP 100% New Quicksilver Fully Dressed Sterndrive Engine
Replaces 3.0L Alpha sterndrive engine

Engine Features: Non‑Power Steering. Front Engine Mount. Turn Key Start (TKS) Carburetor with Mechanical Fuel Pump. Built with 100% new Quicksilver: cast iron block, large fillet radii crankshaft, Tri‑metal bearings, 9.3:1 pistons, revised TKS carburetor calibration, 140F degree thermostat, NGK spark plugs, and 1.5:1 rocker arms. Quicksilver cast iron cylinder heads that feature: hardened seats, screw in studs, Black‑X valves, & an exclusive Quicksilver combustion chamber allowing 4 deg BTDC base timing. Audio warning horn for overheat, low oil pressure, and low drive lube levels. It uses EST Analog Ignition, Single‑Point Water Drain Using Blue Hoses, and 14‑Pin Harness.  Includes Alpha coupler.

3‑Years of Limited Factory Warranty. Runs on 87 Octane Fuel.

The PLUS‑SERIES ENGINES from QUICKSILVER are 100% new construction, and contain all the parts a CRATE ENGINE lacks. These are drop‑in‑ready, new marine engines. Based on popular MerCruiser and Mercury Remanufacturing models, these are 100% new engines that are built with marine‑grade engine internals and other NEW marine components. QUICKSILVER PLUS‑SERIES engines are 100% new factory engines for repowering classic boats built before 2008 in California, and prior 2010 for the other 49‑states. Because these are completely new engines and not a major repair assembly, the old engine being replaced is to be returned per EPA 1068.240. 

Since the focus of PLUS‑SERIES ENGINES is repower, many parts included in new MerCruiser engines used for new boat construction are not included. Parts such as: transoms, trim pumps, Y‑Pipes, rigging, props, boat harnesses, riser kits, closed cooling kits, steering cylinders, lubes, and many other parts required for a successful repower must all be purchased separately.


Adapting Plus Series engines to specific applications may require some parts to be transferred from the engines coming out of the boat or purchased
separately. Examples include:
• Transfer of flywheel housings, couplers, and other hardware to adapt to various makes of drives and transoms
• Changing engine couplers to match specific transmissions, or customer preferences
• Changing engine mounts from front to side, or using solid engine mounts
• Use of various Quicksilver kits to meet your preferences or the specified installation requirements found in the Repower Reference Manual included with the engine
