Mercury Racing 860 QC4V Sterndrive Engine - NO LONGER MADE

The 860 QC4 (quad cam four valve) 9.0L sterndrive engine was designed, developed and manufactured in-house at Mercury Racing. This 860 HP is naturally aspirated and features Mercury Racing's exclusive aluminum four valve cylinder heads and dual overhead camshaft valve train. With the proven valve train, this engine performance is greatly enhanced and more durable than the standard two valve design, enabling the engine to produce 960 horsepower at 6800 rpm on 89 octane (Rec 90) pump fuel. The engine's 6300-6800 rpm operating range offers unsurpassed acceleration for its power rating. The higher rev limits expand the range of prop options for a variety of applications.
