For outboards less than 75 HP Mercury or Quicksilver SAE 80W90 Premium Gear Lube is recommended

This gear lube capacity chart is limited to recent models and has been developed to aid in determining how much gear lube to have on hand when servicing a particular gear housing. Changing and servicing of gear lube should always be performed in accordance with techniques and procedures as outlined in the appropriate service or owner manuals.
