Fuel Injector Cleaning

Ultrasonic Fuel Injector Cleaning & Flow Testing

BAM Marine of Florida provides professional ultrasonic cleaning and digital flow testing for gasoline marine fuel injectors. Customers may ship their injectors to us, or arrange to drop them off at our Pompano Beach, Florida warehouse.

Each injector is tested before and after cleaning so you can see whether the service improved its flow, spray pattern, leakage, and overall performance.

Typical turnaround: Most injector sets are completed within 1–2 business days after they arrive, depending on workload and injector condition.

What Types of Injectors Can We Service?

Our GB800 equipment is designed for gasoline multi-port fuel injection (MPFI) and throttle-body injection (TBI). We service top-feed injectors, and also service most side-feed injectors.

  • Top-feed gasoline fuel injectors
  • Many side-feed gasoline fuel injectors
  • Multi-port fuel injection (MPFI) injectors
  • Throttle-body injection (TBI) injectors
  • Select marine air injectors
Before sending unusual injectors: Please send us a photo or part number so we can confirm that we have the correct adapter and can properly test your injector.

This service is not intended for diesel common-rail injectors or high-pressure gasoline direct injectors (GDI).

What Is Included in the Service?

  • External cleaning and visual inspection
  • Injector identification and numbering
  • Electrical coil and resistance testing
  • Leak testing under pressure
  • Spray-pattern analysis
  • Static and dynamic flow testing
  • Heated ultrasonic pulsed cleaning
  • Reverse flushing to remove loosened deposits
  • Replacement of applicable filter screens and O-rings
  • Final testing after cleaning
  • Before-and-after test results

How Our Injector Cleaning Service Works

Each injector is identified and tested before cleaning so we can establish its original condition and performance. Testing includes electrical resistance, leakage, spray pattern, and fuel-flow measurements.

The injectors are then electronically pulsed in a heated ultrasonic cleaning solution and reverse flushed to remove loosened varnish and deposits. Applicable filter screens and O-rings are replaced before the injectors are tested again.

You receive your numbered injectors along with documented before-and-after test results, making it easy to compare the performance of each injector in the set.

Why Test Injectors Before and After Cleaning?

Ultrasonic cleaning can remove deposits, but cleaning alone cannot repair every injector. Electrical failures, internal wear, corrosion, or physical damage may prevent an injector from operating correctly.

Our before-and-after testing helps identify injectors that responded to cleaning as well as injectors that may still require replacement. The documented results are especially useful when diagnosing uneven engine performance or comparing injectors within a set.

🔧 BAM Tip: Send the complete set whenever possible. Testing all of the injectors together allows us to compare their flow and identify an injector that is performing differently from the rest.
