Unfortunately from time to time your parts will be on national factory
backorder. This means that there are none available at any of the Mercury Marine
factory warehouses, period. Please understand that this situation is completely
beyond our control as we do not manufacture your parts, we only sell them.
Mercury updates the expected factory release/ship date periodically. It is not
unusual at all for the release date to be extended repeatedly. In a few cases
backordered items are released early.We pre-approve your card at the time your order is placed,
we do not actually complete the transaction until your items are
shipped.. You may cancel backordered parts at any time without a restocking fee
(25%) as long as the parts are not already on the way to us or to you.
Once released or shipped a 25% cancellation/restocking fee will
apply in all cases.
Please note that once we cancel a backorder you will have to re-order the
canceled items.
